Chapter 10 - A New Family

Six months later.
The Russo estate had undergone a complete transformation.
The dark security barriers had been replaced with bright flower beds and open glass patio doors that allowed the warm ocean breeze to flow through every room. The armed guards were no longer visible inside the house, posted discreetly at the outer perimeter gates to give the family the peace and privacy they deserved.
In the spacious, sunlit kitchen, flour was once again smeared across the white marble island.
Valentina and Mia were busy shaping cookie dough into stars and hearts, while Lucia sat on a high stool beside Clara, carefully frosting a freshly baked cake.
Dominic walked into the kitchen wearing a relaxed navy sweater and jeans. He walked up behind Clara, placing his hands gently on her waist, leaning down to press a soft kiss against her cheek.
Clara turned, smiling warmly up at him. “You’re home early, Mr. Russo.”
“I told you, Clara,” Dominic said with a playful smile, his dark eyes shining with deep affection. “When I’m in this house, I’m just Dominic.”
Over the past six months, Clara Vance had become far more than just a maid or a caretaker. She had become the anchor of their home—the woman who had healed three broken little girls and brought life back into the cold heart of a grieving Don.
Lucia looked up from her cake frosting, her dark eyes sparkling with joy. “Daddy! Look! Clara helped me make Mommy’s favorite strawberry cake!”
Dominic walked over to his daughter, kissing the top of her head before looking at the framed photograph of Isabella resting on the sunlit windowsill near the garden. In the photo, Isabella was smiling brightly, looking peaceful and free.
“Mommy would love it, sweetheart,” Dominic said softly, pulling Lucia into a gentle side hug.
That evening, as the sun set in brilliant shades of pink and gold over the Atlantic coast, the Russo family sat together around the grand dining table. There were no shadows, no secrets, and no silent grief lingering in the corners.
Dominic looked around the table at his three beautiful daughters, who were happily chatting about their upcoming first day of kindergarten, and then at Clara, whose warm hand rested gently in his under the table.

He had built an empire through power and fear, but sitting in that bright room surrounded by the people he loved, Dominic Russo finally understood the truth: his greatest victory was not defeating his enemies in the dark, but bringing his children back into the light.
And as Lucia’s sweet voice echoed through the warm room, Dominic knew that their family was finally whole once more.
