Chapter 10 - The Vanguard's Journey

Six months later, on a glorious spring morning, Grand Meridian Terminal was once again filled with light, music, and celebration.

Today was the official maiden voyage of the Hale Continental Vanguard—the nation’s first bullet train connecting Chicago to New York in under four hours.

The main concourse was decorated with gold banners, white flowers, and thousands of cheering citizens. Standing on the grand platform beside the gleaming silver bullet train was the entire executive board of Hale Continental Rail.

Stepping up to the podium, dressed in a sharp charcoal suit, was Rowan Hale.

The crowd erupted into wild applause. Rowan held up his hand, smiling warmly, before turning to point toward the woman standing beside him.

Amani wore an exquisite cream-colored silk dress that flowed gracefully around her ankles, her auburn hair catching the bright morning light beneath the soaring glass ceiling. She was radiant, confident, and deeply loved.

“Six months ago,” Rowan spoke into the microphones, his voice echoing clearly across the cavernous terminal, “this terminal was the site of a great lie. But today, it stands as a testament to the truth.”

Rowan reached out his hand to Amani. She stepped up to the podium beside him, linking her fingers through his.

“The Vanguard line is not just a triumph of engineering,” Rowan declared, looking into Amani’s eyes with absolute devotion. “It is a triumph of integrity. And it is my greatest honor to announce that the new terminal headquarters will forever bear the name of the woman who saved this company, saved my life, and captured my heart.”

Rowan uncovered a large brass plaque resting beside the podium.

Engraved in gold letters on the dark bronze plate were four words:

THE AMANI RHODES TRANSPORTATION CENTER.

The crowd exploded into roaring applause. Camera flashes lit up the terminal like a sea of stars.

Rowan turned to Amani, pulling her into his arms, lifting her slightly off her feet, and pressing a deep, passionate kiss against her lips under the soaring glass ceiling.

Amani held him tightly, her heart soaring higher than the steel beams above them.

She had started her journey as an invisible girl in a gray apron, fighting for survival in the dark corners of a wealthy estate. But she had refused to let a lie stand, refused to let money buy her conscience, and fought her way into the light.

And now, as the sleek silver train blew its horn, signaling the start of a new era, Amani Hale knew that her life was no longer a story of survival—it was a journey of absolute love, boundless power, and endless triumph.
