Chapter 9 - A ROYAL WEDDING

The wedding of Adrian Vale and Elena Marlowe was the grandest event the city had seen in a decade. Unlike the quiet, secret affairs typical of underworld figures, Adrian spared no expense, transforming the private estate gardens into an ethereal sanctuary of white roses, crystal chandeliers, and soft velvet drapery.

Elite figures from across the country—business tycoons, legal authorities, and high-ranking associates—attended under strict, high-level security protocols.

In the bride’s dressing room, Elena stood before a grand antique mirror, wearing an exquisite ivory lace gown with a sweeping train and a veil studded with tiny diamonds. She looked radiant, a far cry from the exhausted night nurse who had walked into Blackwood Memorial weeks ago.

A knock sounded at the door, and the head physician—a trusted private doctor hired directly by Adrian—stepped inside holding three-month-old Liam. The baby was dressed in a tiny black tux, cooing happily.

“He’s ready for the ceremony, Mrs. Vale,” the doctor said with a warm smile.

Elena took her son into her arms, kissing his soft cheek. “Thank you, doctor.”

Moments later, the music began to play across the garden estate. Elena walked down the long, white silk aisle, her eyes locked entirely on the man standing at the altar.

Adrian stood tall, looking imposing and extraordinarily handsome in his black tuxedo. His gaze never left her as she approached, his eyes filled with an intense, fierce devotion that made Elena’s heart soar.

When she reached his side, Adrian took her hand, his warm fingers steadying her trembling touch.

The officiant spoke words of union, commitment, and sanctuary, binding their lives together before the assembled guests.

“Do you, Adrian Vale, take Elena Marlowe to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in darkness and in light, for as long as you both shall live?”

“I do,” Adrian stated clearly, his voice echoing across the quiet gardens.

“And do you, Elena Marlowe, take Adrian Vale to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“I do,” Elena answered with complete certainty.

“By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife,” the officiant declared. “You may kiss the bride.”

Adrian stepped closer, placing one hand behind her waist and lifting her veil with the other. He leaned down and kissed her with a deep, fiery passion that brought cheers and applause from the crowd.

Holding their son together, Mr. and Mrs. Vale turned to face their guests—a united, unbreakable family ready to rule their world together.
