Chapter 7 - THE BATTLE FOR VALE MANOR

The courtyard of Vale Manor erupted into an all-out tactical battle.
Adrian’s elite security force—highly trained, military-grade operatives—took up defensive positions along the stone terraces and high balconies, returning heavy fire with pinpoint accuracy.
Adrian walked out onto the front portico, wearing a dark tactical vest over his dress shirt, a custom assault rifle held steadily in his arms.
"Vance!" Adrian’s voice boomed across the roaring chaos like a thunderclap. "You made the last mistake of your life!"
Victor Vance fired his shotgun toward the balcony, sparks exploding against the stone pillars! "You broke my brother's arm over a trashy woman and her brat, Vale! I'm taking your head today!"
"Come and try!" Adrian shouted back!
Adrian leaped over the stone balustrade, dropping ten feet to the lower lawn, firing a three-round burst mid-air that took down two of Vance's mercenary lieutenants!
He moved through the smoke and fog like an unstoppable shadow, taking out shooters with terrifying efficiency. Marcus flanked him from the left, dropping mercenaries as they attempted to flank the main entrance.
Within seven minutes, the firefight ceased.
The lawn was littered with ruined trucks and disarmed mercenaries lying on the grass, pleading for mercy as Vale soldiers secured the perimeter.
Victor Vance stood alone near his burning pickup truck, his shotgun empty, his leg bleeding from a shrapnel wound.
Ethan sat cowering in the passenger seat of the truck, weeping hysterically.
Adrian walked up to Vance, stopping three feet away. He didn't raise his weapon. He simply looked at the Red Syndicate leader with cold, absolute disgust.
"You brought twenty men to hunt a mother and a child," Adrian said flatly.
"They were in my territory!" Vance spat, coughing blood. "You interfered!"
"This city belongs to people who protect the innocent, Vance," Adrian said, stepping closer. "And starting today, the Red Syndicate no longer exists."
Two federal agents in tactical vests stepped out from the treeline behind Adrian, holding official federal arrest warrants.
"Victor Vance!" the lead agent announced. "You are under arrest for federal racketeering, illegal weapons trafficking, and armed assault!"
Vance stared at Adrian in utter disbelief as the agents forced him to his knees, slapping heavy steel handcuffs around his wrists.
"You called the feds?" Vance choked out.
"I gave them thirty years of your financial wiretaps twenty minutes ago," Adrian replied calmly. "Enjoy the rest of your life in a supermax facility."

Adrian turned toward the truck, pulling Ethan out by his jacket collar and throwing him directly onto the grass before the federal agents.
"Take this trash too," Adrian ordered coldly. "He'll be serving twenty years for domestic abuse and attempted extortion."
